New weight loss surgery available in Gainesville 
GAINESVILLE - A much less invasive form of surgery for people with morbid obesity is now available in Gainesville. Doctors at Northeast Georgia Medical Center say the new option means the LAP-BAND procedure can be performed without cutting or stapling of the stomach, such as with gastric bypass.
